Indexing

Indexing is the process of storing and organizing the content found during the crawling process. Once a page is crawled, the search engine analyzes its content and stores that information in a massive database called an index. When a user performs a search, the engine sifts through this index—not the entire live web—to find the most relevant results. If a page is not in the index, it cannot appear in search results.

Indexing is a key component of any successful SEO strategy, as it can have a significant impact on the ranking of your website in search results.
